The series that was aired on December 2020 has a unique story and lots of plot twists.

Alice in Borderland is a story of some people who enters a world of games in the middle of nowhere.

The main character named Arisu play with death threat in every episodes.

This film are manages to drag the audience into a deep curiosity. If you watch the first episode, you are guaranteed to be fond and couldn’t hardly wait to see the next episodes.

Alice in Borderland or in Japanese titled Imawa No Kuni No Arisu tells the story of Ryohei Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and his two best friends, Chota (Yugi Morinaga) and Karube (Keita Machida), into a dangerous gaming world.

Because of the danger of the world that Arisu and his friends entered, they almost died in every episodes of the games.

Uncomplicated back and forth flow becomes the show value of this series. Eventually, the audience will be spoiled by the stunning cinematography made by director Shinsuke Sato.

Kento Yamazaki, who usually plays a romantic drama, is now out of his comfort zone, acting in thrillers.

Kento as the main actor is considered to be able to attract a wider audience.

This story begins when three Tokyo boys make an appointment to meet. Meet to unravel the fatigue and anger that each one brings.

They are:

Arisu the unemployed who is a gaming maniac.

Chota the office worker who is kept in the spotlight by his mother who is a cult worshiper, and;

Karube the bartender who is caught having an affair with his boss’s girlfriend.

The three friends made an appointment to meet at a busy and crowded Shibuya intersection.

In the midst of Tokyo’s summer air, people are passing by with a busy Tokyo daily activities, somehow, the trio causes trouble by disturbing the busy traffic.

As a result, they were chased by the security forces, and decided to hide in the subway toilet together.

Not quite long after that, feeling safe, Chota checked out.

However, something was different. The atmosphere was suddenly super quiet, lonely, people disappeared somewhere. The electricity also went out and the cellphone signal disappeared.

Unwittingly, they have entered Borderland, a world of game, and each game played has a different difficulty that each participant must win.

What if they fails? Yes, guaranteed, they’ll be dead.

Either killed by the enemy or shot by a laser by the game master.

You wouldn’t find any boredom watching the series, because screenwriters Yasuko Kuramitsu and Shinsuke Sato made the dialogue between characters really well.

The dialogue between the characters is played with the right timing, gonna make you more and more curious.

The film, which premiered on December 10, 2020, has a little concept like The Hunger Games. However, don’t get your hopes up there will be a sweet romance like the story of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.

Thrilling after thrilling death game scenes will make you forget about any romance, just keep hold your breath. Game startu!
